  1. Peanuts, because I was so small.  Only one aunt still calls me that.

  2. Very few people call me Kitty anymore.  Maybe one in a 100 might. My eyes are green and my hair was reddish so I was called Kitty in teenage years.

  3. Tommy. Guess I always looked or acted like a "Tommy" instead of Thomas or Tom. Old teachers call me that and even guys that worked under me and aren't even retired yet( and younger) call me Tommy.

Doesn't bother me.Before I had a beard my dimples would show and somehow that must make a Tommy out of a Tom.( Or I act about the age of a typical Tommy)

  4. The only nickname I had was the one that my kid brother used.  It was "Glad A**".  And, he knows better to not call me that today!

  5. My dad gave me the nickname of Shawna, when I was little. I never

once heard him say my given name. His mother was the person who

actually named me. And my mother went along with it. She told me

she wanted, "Alexi", which girls today are using the shorter version of

"Lexi", like my cousin did back in the 60s'. She was the only one I

ever heard with that name, until the last few years.

After my dad died, I stopped hearing Shawna. My husband will

tease me every once in awhile and call me that, and tries to emulate

the tone of my dads' voice.

  6. Family still at almost 57 call me "Baby Girl"  I will never live that one down.

  9. Nickname was "tiger" because of all my black eyes. (Should have been Raccoon). Not because of fighting but because of playing basketball (elbows in the eyes) and a game called "squash" when I wasn't playing basketball I was playing this form of racquetball two or three hours a day. In squash you use a heavy wooden paddle and "whack"!  Black eyes, bloody noses, a broken cheek . . .  it was a lot of fun, I loved that sport.
