Did you have tooth reshaping before getting braces instead of tooth removal?

my teeth aren't horribly scew just a bit crowded in the front.

My teeth were also crowded at the time, esp at the front, but I chose to remove a rear tooth instead of reshaping. That way my teeth could adjust easily for the space.

no sorry i had to expanders which are little elastic bands in for a week

i didn't.  what is that?  well, i had spacers put in, these little plastic bits that they put in between my molars where they were gonna put the band on.

it took a week (or two, i forget) and it hurt really bad at first but then after the teeth were spaced out they were just annoying because they would come out sometimes
