Did you hear about the fires near Aspendos?

I didn't realize til today that it's been on the news. Considering I live near where the fire is, it's quite large. The skies are all smokey black and red. Ashes and burnt pine needles kept falling from the sky. Even when I was at the beach, white ashes came down like snow. It makes me wonder how they'll fix this problem. I checked the news and they say it might have been campers who FORGOT to put out their fire...how stupid.

Ä° am so sad for this news, yesterday i just answered a previous question about fire forest in turkey and i was telling that one of the reasons is due to the lack of care of people whose while doing pick nick forget to put out their fire! and now you are confirm what i was explaining... when we will be able to understand that we are the responsibles of our own destruction and the destruction of nature!.. if things continue like this unafortunatly in 10 years there will not be mediterranean forest any more..

I hadn't heard about that.  I went there a number of years ago and saw the Istanbul Opera company perfomr Rigoletto.  It was such an incredible palce.  I hope there's not too much damage
