I just watched a video on yahoo about awomen that is sueing some airport in washington for 10 million dollars for security body slamming this women. I watched the video and it just made me so mad that i was inraged by it. These airport security people wear that badge like they are god. I understand that its for the safety of the passengers, but i have been to several airports post 9-11 and some of the stuff i see makes me sick. I have seen 80+ year old women in wheel chairs be forced to stand for a pat down and i have seen infants be patted down and when the baby started to cry and the mother couldn't silence in quick enough she wasnt allowed to board that plane. There is a line between common sense and stupid and the government with these security people are closer to stupid than common sense. I dont care if i get searched, but elderly people and babies, give me a break. And airlines wonder why no one flys anymore, not only are prices to high, no one wants to go through security

  1. Did BJ was in this airport ?

  2. I think I am having Less & LESS sympathy- for Airlines that are facing Bankruptcy... -What "goes around, flies around- until it HITS the Ground..." :(

  3. I haven't seen the video either but my question to you is :

Do you want another 9/11?   It is entirely possible so everyone is searched and yes it is a drag and upsetting  but maybe, just maybe that innocent little baby has something lethal in its diaper besides poo.  And if your family was travelling on that flight then I think you would want everyone checked.  It is enraging sometimes, I agree, time consuming ,all that but it needs to be done.  New and clever devices are being manufactured  every day  that  can blow up a plane and the  security people are even more vigilant  than ever.   No ones needs to be rude or rough with a passenger and whomever was on that video needs to be reprimanded.

BOSTON, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Massachusetts State Police arrested a 19-year-old MIT student Friday at Boston's Logan International Airport after receiving a report that a woman had what appeared to be a bomb strapped to her chest.

The woman arrested at the Boston airport was identified as Star Simpson, an MIT student.

Authorities said the device proved to be fake.

Star Simpson, a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was charged with disorderly conduct and carrying a hoax device.

Simpson was arraigned later Friday in Boston Municipal Court. District Court Judge Paul Mahoney set bail at $750 and ordered her to return to court on October 29 for a pretrial hearing.

Authorities called to the scene saw a woman on a street outside the airport's Terminal C.

She was told to stop, raise her hands and make no movements, and she followed those directions, said Maj. Scott Pare, the airport commanding officer for the Massachusetts State Police.

"It's good that she responded," he said. "She's lucky she's in a jail cell rather than the morgue."

Pare said officers with automatic weapons had been called to the scene.

The woman described the fake device as "art" that she was proud of and wanted to display, Pare said.  Watch police show the device »

Pare said the device the suspect was wearing was a small circuit board attached by wires to a battery that lit up a display. He said the woman also was holding Play-Doh.

An airport spokeswoman said the suspect walked up to one of the public information kiosks in Terminal C. A person behind the desk noticed the woman was wearing what she described as a circuit board with putty and wires attached to it. The information kiosk employee called police.

"I don't think she understood the seriousness until the public information employee called police," Pare said.

He said the woman told officers she had come to the airport to meet a Continental Airlines flight from Oakland, California. E-mail to a friend

  5. i dont kno if i agree sueing an airport for 10 million dollars unless she got ingered badly and it cost around that much. and i see why they would pat down someone older but if they were in a wheel chair u would think they would help u stand if u  couldnt stand well. and patting a baby is odd, and they probably check the baby and make sure no one hid anything wit it but thats odd the mom wasnt aloud cause she couldnt make the baby quite criing, thats just rude. but they pat down every one to make it fair and make sure no ones carrying stuff they shouldnt,

  6. granted its "for your protection" but we ALL KNOW who we should be targeting but we cant racial profiling

  7. I don't think that it's bad necessarily to search an infant or an elderly person but it should be done with care and compassion. Terrorists are not above planting explosives in a baby's diaper or forcing an elderly person to carry a bomb. I DO think that the security people should be kind and compassionate. I do think they jump the gun and get overly aggressive. I have not seen the video of the person but it must be pretty bad. No entity should be above the law and without consequence for poor behavior.

  8. This woman must have done or said something to make the guards react so quickly. Security at airports are very strict and rightly so after 9/11 as this woman found out to her cost. Now she is suing the airport for $10 million does this tell you something. Take a look at this link here is another woman who thought that she was above authority

  9. i think they do those things because they cant pass people just because they are infants, elderly, etc.

but i also think that sometimes they go a little too far
