How did you feel about this when you heard? I was trying to watch the RNC for the fun of it but everyone couldn't get off the 40 years of Gustav. It's a hurricane we know its there.

  1. Did hear this morning about the THOUSANDS of posts already on Yahoo Answers about this subject? Good Lord...

  2. I felt the same as d**k Tator. It's none of my business and everyone should mind their own business. Leave the people alone. She doing what she thinks it right for her.....bd

  3. Comparing the response from the Libs on Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy at 16 and that of Palin's daughter is instructive.

  4. I felt it is none of our business what her daughter does but was glad she took the moral ground and is getting married unlike so many liberal teens who would be getting an abortion.

  5. Sounds like the sound basis for a true "Family Values" based family - forced marriage due to an accidental teen pregnancy, those always turn out well. But That does not concern me as far as her being VP. her lack of experience does,.

  6. The fact that her daughter is pregnant shouldn't be looked on negatively in regards to Palin.  I've seen many good parents that could not stop their daughter from getting pregnant.

However, this may somewhat hurt McCain's standing with the religious conservative right that tend to be the consistent backers of the Republican party.  Having her marry may be their way to appease the religious right.  Although I don't think the girl should be forced to marry because of political reasons.  If she wants to marry the guy, cool.  I just hope she doesn't marry the guy so her mom has a better chance of getting into office.

  7. A 17 year old girl from a "good family" getting pregnant and keeping the baby isn't anything new, or even all that rare.

The only thing that makes this different is that it is happening in a family that doesn't believe in abortion, and they haven't decided to be hypocrites like the pro-abortion crowd always predicts with "What if it was YOUR daughter?"

Here's a question for you, if it is the "mother's right to choose", why keep harping on this when they make the choice you don't expect? And why isn't her right to choose to NOT be a political topic?

  8. Well, this may be "news" to folks who like tabloid journalism. I personally don't care for it, and would rather hear bout the real issues (economy, health care, war effort, etc).

  9. And she drinks alcohol as well

  10. CNN's resident scumbag, Wolf Blitzer, seems to think it is big  political news. He interrupted his coverage of the hurricane to announce it. Blitzer should get the media's a$$shole of the year award.

  11. Politician's families are off limits.
