Did you hear that freedom took another hit last week?

California bans restaurants from serving food made with trans-fat.

Shouldn't the American people be more concerned with the small incremental erosion of our liberties at the hands of nanny state do-gooders in government rather than the perceived threats to our freedom by the Patriot Act and other anti-terrorist measures?

Someday Californians will just be a bunch of clones walking around.  Everyone will be just alike and anyone who is different will have their free will taken away from them with legislation.

You're taking my free will away because of your children?  Don't buy the food you don't like.  It's not rocket science.  Better yet, put your children in a display case -- that will protect them from everything.

That is not good, but not even comparable with the "patriot" act.

What I am saying is that the Patriot act is worse.
