My youngest brother has a very demanding job in the media field. He told me once that him and his comrades will surf net sites looking for different stories to cover. So I was not surprised one bit when Rowdy's question from earlier this week has made it to a Round Table topic.

Others have asked similar questions in the past, it is apples and oranges... they are both fruit, and have seeds.

To compare kyle to phelps, they are both atheletes, and have more wins then anyone else in there field this year.

Other than that how can you compare with so many other differences in thier sports.

The typical Olympic champion is forgotten about after 1 to 2 years then we are reminded of him/her during the next Olympics 4 years later.   Kyle will be winning races for the next 15 years probably and Phelps will probably be teaching the doggie paddle at a local YMCA.   Not putting down Phelps talent but lets face it you and most people won't even remember his name in a couple years.

Kyle is soo good he'd probably beat Phelps in the pool anyway.  lol

They always do analogies with other sports. It's really annoying. And these days, I kind of wish that Benny Parsons was still around because Andy Petree is the biggest dumb redneck idiot on the planet. I wish Rubberhead Rusty would run over him with his golf cart or something. I usually turn down the idiots and listen to the MRN broadcast instead. At least Barney Hall isn't a dumb Huckleberry.

Phelps is a Olympic Hero, one of the best athletes in American history. Do they compare? No FN way.

Kyle is a superstar of his sport and on top of his game but no driver in histoy compares to what that dude has done.

sorry i disagree with you kyle is great on land and in motors and phelps is good in waters with his legs and they both have 8 wins for kyle and 8 titles in one olympic series so come on thats a comparison cause they have the same numbers

I think the announcers are very biased already and Rusty..GRRRRRRRRRRRR, cannot stand him and his smart mouth especially bashing on Newman now that made me MAD..lol

I would love to see Kyle in the water and Phelps in Sprint car..lol now that would be a show!
