actually, mars is made of iron, but its surface is red because it is rusted. for iron to rust, it must be submitted to water and oxygen. those two substances are the main things needed for life to thrive. i'm not sure, but i think scientists have discovered miscroscopic organisms (similar to the first organisms on earth) in fossils obtained from mars. i think hat mars began to form life just like earth has, but was to far away from the sun to sustain regulated heat for life.

I heard about it, but i think that the only life we might find would be microscopic. Amazing discovery, huh?

No I didn't heard about it.  I did hear about it though.  I believe we will find life there.  It probably will just be single cell organism but you never know.  I always remember the phrase from Jurasic Park.  Life will find a way.

im not sure. its probably microscopic if so, what i want to know is how did the water get there?

i watched on the history channel that many scientists believe the water on earth got hear by asteroid showers which contained frozen water on the surface of them (or something to that nature). would it be the same case with mars or what?

i wanna know that more than whether life is there or not.
