Sad news reports are coming in that a whale, stranded on an English sandbank today, had to be put down despite a massive rescue attempt.

Still, they were pretty daft to try to pick it up in the first place.

    They should've called Hancock.

    Class answer!...

when they stop killing babies in the name of our queen and country then I'll worry about a sick whale.

  2. Yes its very sad, apparently it beached itself because it was sick.

  3. Very sad.

  4. Not funny.......One day you may end up sick on a beach and i'll bet your the type that will cry for mummy.

  5. stranded in wales sounds great

  6. Yes it was very sad, but it seems that it was ill, so perhaps it was the kindest thing to do.It is very distressing  when any animal or mammal has to be put down, as we seem to be losing just about everything in the wild.It would be a blow to this World if all animals were extinct for future generations, to enjoy these creatures, and for all the children that will never know or see in the flesh what we have seen in our lifetime. That day will come because Man now seems to enjoy helping them into non existance for that to happen, and cruelty seems to come first in killing them. There should be a world ban on this so called sport.

  7. Yes. Apparently it had kidney failure and made it's own decision to kill itself. A bit like ill people who feel euthanasia is the best option. Just shows how intelligent whales are.

  8. apparently it suffered kidney failure, thats why they put it down, the vets say it would have only live for 2 days max and it was the was the most humane thing to do.Poor thing hate seeing animals in trouble

  9. no but i did know about a whale stranded on the gulf of mexico in june!

  10. They should've called Hancock.

  11. i swear i was not on that beach... oh , you mean a real whale.

  12. It was a shame for the poor thing.

  13. they've just found out it was'nt a whale, it was chris moyles getting a tan.

  14. When I first heard the news that it had been stranded, I thought that poor creature is doomed. Sure enough it was. Every time this happens, be it a dolphin, whale or whatever the result is always the same. I have to question why.

  15. it is upsetting what they had to do, but when you think about it, it was the only thing they could humanly do. Of course, PETA won't be happy about this, but sometimes, we must do what is right for the animal rather than let it suffer
