This guy......

Dutty Boukman a houngan, or vodoun priest, who was born in Jamaica, whose death is largely considered the start of the Haïtian Revolution.

It is still good to know that Jamaica had a hand in this too.

  1. Well I guess I should've done History.

  2. Which one of the Revolutions? Do you mean the Revolt? There has been no Revolution in Haiti that is worth taking any credit for. Not even the one of Touissant L'Overture. I am disappointed in the nation.

  4. plz place your sources because i find this hard to believe. I do history at an advanced level and thts the first i have heard that. The haitian revolution had many factors contributing to the reason it began so many tht it is hard to beleive tht this jamaican started it......The french revolution was a major factor , t'oussaint  i know was a leader in the revolution he was haitian so was henry christophe, petion and boyer. everyone in the island including mulattoes and whites had a big problem with french government so they all had something to gain. the blacks wanted freedom and the creoles and mulattoes wanted to take part in government. this is why i find it hard to believe that the death of a Jamaican could have influenced all the people. but even if he did as U say its nothing to brag about but to be ashamed of. The haitian revolution was probably the worst thing that could have happened to haiti as the haiti we know today is exactly the same haiti we saw after the revolution because up to over a century later they are still unable to recover.
