Did you know Mcdonald's says their foods causes cancer, why do people still eat there?

So I noticed at Mcdonald's and Carl's Jr. they have a notice that says their foods or drinks may or have chemicals that could cause cancer? what are these things they are talking about? and does that even discourage people from eating there? i noticed at the drive through they have that label. yet i don't think people care? why? and does anyone know what is the cancer causing chemicals?

Well, anyone with a strong grasp of biology realizes that you encounter mutagens and carcinogens all the time. They're probably referring to aspartame, which has shown no actual link to cancer in anything but mice. The thing is, anything in moderation is still probably going to be okay for you, carcinogens included.

I mean, even the sunlight is a carcinogen. Sunscreen is even a suspected carcinogen. Even bacon, upon being metabolized, can cause cancer. Almost everything can cause cancer, because a lot of things are mutagenic. The key is everything in moderation, and you'll be fine.

I can't answer your question as to specifics regarding potential cancer-causing ingredients in fast food, but I will say THIS---We are all going to die. True, there are many lifestyle choices we can make that MIGHT or MIGHT not prolong our lives. On the flip side of that, I know more than a few who made "healthy" choices...all dead. And then there's Mick Jaeger...LOL!! As for myself; I'm going out of this world with my once-a-month Arby's Beef 'n Cheddar habit firmly intact!!

I don't know why they are saying that! I almost live in Mc Donald's my little ones love fries! So if there is something causing cancer then why is it still open? I'm sure that Board of Health will close down Mc Donald's if this is true!

Oh, I'll tell you why people eat that c**p....because they're to dumb to know any better.  We are a country with so many fat, stupid, lazy people, they'll eat anything.  Then when they do get cancer from their Big Mac and fries, they'll sue the golden arches!  If we want to fight obesity, autisim, cancer, ADD, diabetis, all we have to do is ban all fast food joints!  I have not only not eaten fast food in 2.5 years, but I haven't even stepped through their doors and it's been wonderful.  I am thin, healthy, and happy!  Although, most of the problem lies in the relationship between the food industry and the government.  Believe me, if everyone knew the **** that was in their food, every fast food  and chain restaurant would be out of business!

It might be some kind of hydrogenates or high fructose corn syrup that's causing the cancer. McDonald's probably puts things in their food that get peple addicted to it. Most people still eat at McDonald's because of habit. I personally don't like McDonald's at all though.

Everything causes cancer. They've tested it in laboratory rats and found that everything causes it. Unfortunately, we are all going to die.

The only thing I have ever heard about their food is that they use a beef flavoring in their fries...Vegetarians were not happy about that. They had a high transfat content in the oil they cooked the fries in and they also used wheat gluten in the fries which gives some people problems. I was unable to find anything that said anything about cancer. I've never seen one of those signs. I know if I saw a sign that said some of our foods are known to cause cancer, I certainly would not eat it. Since I haven't ever seen one of those signs, I'm sure a lot of others haven't seen them as well. I believe that most people would be concered enough about such a statement to refrain from eating there. God bless!!

because there food is so addicting, and so good that people dont really beilive that you can get cancer. and no i have no idea whats in cancer causing chemicals.

bacuase some people are adiicted to this food maybe becuase they got used to eating it when they were little.
