And Tim Kaine has been a Governor for 3 years and Sarah Palin has been a Governor for 1 and a half years.

I think that Virginia is a much different state that is much more representative of the sort of issues a president would face, first of all.  And know what?  Obama did not pick Kaine.  So there's that.
