Don't you think our VP should have more credentials than this? She spent most of her career selling ATV's and fishing than helping people, or tackling political issues. What a disgrace.

  1. Did you know I have three master's degrees and would still be a horrible president?  Yeah, degrees aren't everything.

  2. not really, college is a business they steal your money and teach you half truths and lies, college is a waste. who cares if someone went to an ivy league school big p**p, all that means is they are rich or a minority, big deal

  3. Ha, it's starting already by the liberals!  Hey, at least she has more political experience than your candidate!  I'll take the first woman for VP, with a Bachelor of Arts degree over  a Presidential candidate who doesn't have any foreign policies or military experience!  She is way better!!

  4. Who cares?  She's still unqualified.

  5. man, i love her so much more now

  6. For all you people who think a degree is just a piece of paper to wipe your *** with, you are all ignorant. With that logic, why not just nominate someone who doesn't have a high school diploma? Or someone who works at burger king? The point is, there is something to be said for someone who has a degree from Harvard and was a law professor at the University of Chicago. How many can achieve Harvard and teach law? That piece of paper says something about his character and intelligence. If any of you had listened to his biographical video at the convention you would see he worked his *** off to achieve his position today. I'd rather take someone who has had senatorial experience and knows the ins and outs of washington over someone who is governor of a state that is far removed from the continental US. Besides, look at Bush's experience. He was governor of Texas and look what good that did.

  7. McCain never had my vote, because of his party platform and the upcomming appointments to the Supreme Court. But as a veteran and an American he had my respect.

    Now he has neither.

I am so amazed, rather disgusted, that McCain as smart, accomplished, and admired as he is. Could be so incredibly stupid.

At what point did he think that  women voters would flock just because he picked a woman. Just because she is a woman doesn't make her qualified. As much as being a woman doesn't make her unqualified.

This is the most transparent display of pandering I have ever seen.

The best he could find in the GOP was a governor of 20mos and mayor of town of 5k people. A beauty queen runner up? Is this a joke?

A degree in communications? What? A sports reporter and an ATV saleswoman.

The past 8 years we have seen our constitution not only trampled on, but for all the use it has gotten we should have taken it out of the archives and let those guards have an extended vacation. I don't think you need to be a member of Mensa...but after the past 8 years you d**n well better come with something more than a beauty queen sash and a degree in how to talk.

  8. She may be the leader of the world if anything happens to McCain. She is not qualified. She should have a professional degree, I am sure those who do not value education do not have any themselves. It takes alot of work to achieve a Harvard law degree as opposed to a BA in journalism. I am a woman and I am insulted that I should accept this dangerous choice for VP just because she is a woman. Hillary earned her position and so did Obama by running grueling campains, it was not handed to them on a silver platter.

  9. Anyone who believes that the holding of a particular degree should have any meaning in this case is very likely someone who has never done any "real" work in their life.  Any open-minded person with any real-world experience can tell you this from their experience.  In the company I work for we have many good managers.  Some have professional degrees.  Some do not.  Those without the degrees tend to be, in my opinion, slightly better leaders on average.  They appear to be more connected and have a bit more drive.  Don't notice any intelligence difference.  We've even had to let a PH.D. go because he could not manage effectively and seemed unable to make critical decisions.

I'm not trying to take a shot at degrees.  Having a degree does say one thing:  It says you were able to attend a learning institution, complete the coursework you needed to complete, and get passing grades.  That is it.   If I had to choose between two people with absolutely no information about them but knew one had a degree and the other didn't, I would choose the one with the degree.  But that is not the case here.  We have candidates with REAL experience and decision-making experience to look at...FAR more important than the degree....the degree matters moot at this point.  I might be more inclined to go with the leader who has sound principles, has the drive to push those principles, and the confidence to make it happen.  That's leadership.

    .

Actually in the case of McCain's running mate, Palin, one could argue that working your way up to be Governor of Alaska may be a much more impressive achievement than a professional degree.  There are millions with professional degrees...but only 50 governors (maybe a few hundred if you count former governors still alive)...still a much bigger achievement than some degree.  Do you really think this woman isn't at the professional degree level?  Come on people.  Use some common sense.

  10. A piece of paper doesn't make you a better person.

  11. I honestly don't understand how Obama supporters can critize Palin for being inexperianced.  Name one public office Obama has served in for longer than 2 years. (hint: he hasn't)

  12. That makes her all the better - she's a normal person!  Palin is a Great choice and she will make a Wonderful VP! It just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick & genius!

    Palin:

    * has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska)

    * is a vocal, huge proponent of American energy independence

    * has actually been leading people for the past several years, while Obama & Biden have been leading NO one!

    * shelved her state's pork-laden Bridge to Nowhere that McCain has ridiculed on the trail

    * will join McCain in fighting hard against earmarks

    * is about as far outside the Beltway as you can get

    * ran on the agenda of stopping wasteful gov't spending

    * is the mother of 5 kids!

    * has had her son deploy to Iraq

    * is an ice fisherman

    * is a moose hunter

    * is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member

All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Americana (Motherhood & Apple pie)!

    Peace

  13. So what,A degree means you went to school big deal,You can wipe your behind with it if you dont have common sense.

  14. I'll take ethics, fiscal responsibility and integrity over experience or credentials any day. My constitutional rights and bank account are more important to me than someone else's university diploma.

  15. She might be a nice woman but to even compare her to Hillary Clinton - that's an insult to everyone who fought so hard to get Hillary elected!
