  1. We won the war back in the 1700's too.  USA is the best, get over it.

  2. The US has 54 medals, your g*y country has 17. How many medals do you think Phelps won, 40? Your idiotic question is pathetic and you don't even know proper English.

    It's countries, not countrys. LOSER!

  3. They're all brainwashed idiots anyway. If it wasn't for us declaring war on Hitler, they wouldn't be anything, as while we did the right thing for humanity because Hitler wanted us to be his main ally as he admired us, all they could think of was making a profit from it, as Australia that had a population lower than most European cities were helping to stop Japan in the pacific and the USA actually made us send them gold in return for old destroyers and made us pay for weapons. While they were on Britain's side they stole all our knowledge of Computers as we invented the world's first electronic programmable computer and they stole the atom bomb knowledge from Chadwick and Rutherford. Then once Germany was destroyed and Britain broke, they employed all the n***s such as Werner Von Braun who made the V-2 rockets and made him the head of Nasa to make the rockets to the moon. Then they act like they had done it all.

Hitler said in many speeches and writings that he wanted Britain to be his main ally as he admired us because our brutality and tenacity would allow us to win wars even if we had worse weapons. It would have been worse for the USA if there was a more intelligent superpower in Europe. We do the right thing, and look at the rubbish we have to hear from brainwashed idiots? Hitler also said he wanted Britain to police the world if he could take over Europe and Russia, so he wanted us to keep our empire, but the USA wanted it destroyed.

Despite us suffering years of terrorism because of groups in the USA spreading propaganda and raising money for the IRA, when they get bombed we just go straight in to help them without working out a way to make a profit first. We're just idiots in helping them to get over inflated egos, but then maybe we can rise above it by knowing we're better people?

edit: Oh in the revolutionary war, the French stopped British ships from even arriving, and all the people fighting were British anyway, so it was like a civil war.

I don't think they should have bothered, as I would rather live in a country that had stayed in the Commonwealth for longer such as Australia than the USA.

I'm sure the original British people who fought to be independent wouldn't have bothered if they saw what the USA was like now.

  4. oh, shut up. plenty of countries are better than britain other than the usa

  5. yeah :)

and if we get the two golds in sailing then we'll be like fifth i think...above australia anyway :)

  6. why do americans go on about the revolutionary war and about how they 'kicked our asses' :/

    1) american farmers received help from the french/spanish/dutch (ie britain was at war with 4 countrys), early americans of that time was only famers too and tbh most was not even true americans as they wasn't born in that country.  so regardless what you believe (ie mel gibson grabbing the american flag and saying "HOLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD") it never happened.

    2) britain losing its occupance of america was the best thing that could have happened to our country, during ww2 we went on to own 25% of the world, making the british empire the largest emprire thats ever been in human history.

    3) about the US 'saving' the world like superman from the germans, learn your history! america was the only country to come out of ww2 smelling of roses, we paid for americas (and most of the worlds contribution) in ww2, we paid off americas contribution just last year if i'm not mistaken and even then once france surenned in 1940, britain was fighting both hitler and mussolini SINGLEHANDED for nearly 2 years, it was russia's inclusion into the war that we were most thankful for and people forget  the US was not all that powerful as it is today - in the late 1930's the US never had a military.

    4) we helped you during the cold war/1st gulf war and during america's 'war for oil' program ie (saving americas economy) AT NO COST! so if you want to go on about the world speaking german if it wasn't for the 'mighty' america, the US could very well be speaking russian or iraqi if it wasn't for britain.

actually if you want FACTS, america has never actually won a war 'by itself' throughout its whole history, so there you go.... END.

  7. We also Have Jason Lezak Lol  But yea thats great

  8. 1 China  gold 27 silver  13 bronze 6  total 46

    2 United States 16 16 22 54

    3 Germany 8 5 5 18

    4 South Korea 7 9 4 20

    5 Australia 7 8 10 25

    6 Japan 7 5 5 17

    7 Great Britain 7 3 7 17

    What are you talking about????

Anyway the UK may be small but it has a large population.

  9. what? whos michael phelps?

  10. lmao I love the "50 countries in 1" thing.

  11. good thing he's such a bad a** american then, huh?

  12. thats awesome

    well calculated! :-)

  13. Great.

Bottom line: The USA has Micheal Phelps.

If if was a skiff we'd all be adrift.

  14. well it doesn't make a difference. the fact is that we DO have Michael Phelps. so whats the point of even asking that??  as talented british swimmers are, apparently its not enough to be on par with the US

  15. um great for britan?

  16. That is really great. I like to see small countries doing really well!

There are unfortunately a lot of ahtletes who are not competing for their homeland. For example, the "Swede" weightlifter Ara Abrahamian who threw down his bronze medal is Armenian. Armenia, a country of less than 2 mil, has 5 metals so far and if it had 6 you can look at the chart and see how many rungs it would climb up. It also has athletes competing for Russia, the Ukraine and other countries :)

I saw an interesting story that was tabulating the metals per capita of the country's population - I wonder if there is a chart for it. It calculated the ranking based off of the population of the country in comparison to the number of metals won, which placed China (with over 1 billion people) and the US way on the bottom!!

PS - the metal ranking is based off of TOTAL metals won first, and number of Gold (then silver then bronze) second (otherwise China would be ranking #1 right now with the most gold metals but it is #2 because the US has more overall metals). I think an additional consideration shoud be made for population. For example, with China's 1.1 billion, they'd have to win over 5,000 metals to be on par with Armenia's 5 metals and 2 mil. population!!! Eleven hundred million vs. 2 million!

  17. well, what can i say, MICHAEL PHELPS and USA is the best in the world!!

    love em both!!!!

  18. ya....but he still is there.....

  20. HAHAHA

WANNA KNOW WHAT"S FUNNY CANADA STILL DON"T HAVE MEDALS LAST TIME I CHECKED ANYWAYS

  21. If it wasn't for the Manning family experimenting cross-breeding with Chimpanzees.

We would not have Mike Phelps.

Its our superb strategeriy that has led us this far.

    Go 'Merica

  22. actually you have 17 total, if we (the USA) take away the medals Phelps has we would still have 47, so without him we are still almost 3 times better. put that in your pipe and smoke it

  23. if it weren't for phelps, we'd have 47, does britian have 47? i think not.

on that vien, if it weren't for general george washington, britian would have been on par with the US in the american revolutionary war, and maybe we wouldn't have kicked your sorry @sses back across the atlantic ocean. and if it weren't for the battles in the baltimore harbor and new orleans, you'd have been on par with us in the war of 1812 and maybe we wouldn't have kicked your sorry @sses back across the atlantic AGAIN!

and if it weren't for adolph hitler the rest of europe would have been on par with germany in the great war and maybe the US that you are so jealous of wouldn't have had to come over there and save your sorry @sses from the n***s while single handedly beating japan's @ss at the same time with no help from europe.

no, the medal count does NOT go on gold, it goes by total medals won. at least in this country it does. we've been using total medals won as the standard for many decades. it's called a medal count, not a gold medal count.

  24. Britain is hardly -puny-!  They used to run most of the world!  They long ago learned the lesson that the US is learning now.

Phelps is pretty amazing, though, isn't he?  I mean I really don't care who wins the most medals.  I'm kind of glad to see the Chinese taking so many gold medals.  But it's cool to see someone just win race after race.  This is his 15 minutes of fame.  A year from now he will be as obscure as Mark Spitz.
