i think why is called history because there were telling stories about men and other men and what they did to change the world so there not really much story about women that why its call his story did you know that

  1. Like Lakewood said it is Latin and it could be a combo of Hades (land of the dead) and Styx (river running in front of Hades). The "t" in the middle of the word stands for time, I bet.  


  2. "His" and "story" are meaningless in Latin, from which "historia" comes.
