  1. Of course. Punta is big wherever the Garifuna are.  Punta originated by the indigenous population, they are called the Garifuna. They have a wonderful culture, and i love their language. I'm studying with two girls who are Garifuna here in NIcaragua, they love punta.

    The Garifuna "invented" punta in Honduras, but they live in Nicaragua, Belize and Guatemala too.
