  1. Sharks are known to have a keen sense of smell, which in many species is critical for finding food. Sharks do have noses, but they only use them for smelling, not for breathing. You'll find their pair of nostrils on the underside of their snouts. Some species, like the Nurse Shark, even have some extra smellers called nasal barbels, which stick out near the nostrils and mouth.

  2. what would it use one for other than smelling?

but sharks do have an extra breatjin apparatus on the tops of their heads behind their eyes, called spiracles it what allows most species to breathe while not moving

their nostrils are small sac like organs, located where you'd think they'd be.. they are not little tunnels like ours. so the water goes in and out the same hole..

  3. They smell blood with it and thts how they know we r there and then they eat us!

  4. That's how they breath by taking in water like we take in air, when they breath in water they can taste any blood in it or other things that may be in the water,
