  1. Cool--my son goes to school with his niece, so I will have to ask her the next time I see her.  BTW, he is a really cool guy...he loves to play practical jokes.

His brother-in-law owns a water softener business, and when Dan comes to town, he'll go out on service calls with the guys, and people are AMAZED to see Dan tagging along with the Rain Soft guy!

And he is one of the nicest people you would ever hope to meet...none of that "I'm a star" nonsense!

  2. I am a fan of his as an actor.  My buddy and I were the blues brothers for halloween one year in high school.  However, I don't feel that his celebrity gives any credence to causes he believes in.  Being a celebrity doesn't make you smarter or your opinions more valid than anyone else.

Edit: If I remember right, he hosted some show, or it may have been a TV special or something, that was UFO or paranormal based.

Edit II: I just looked it up on imdb, it was called PSI Factor http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115326/

  3. I didn't know but I'm not surprised.Celebrities have just as much right to be silly as the rest of us.Not that the study of UFO's is silly. But,Dan Aykroyd is not an authority on anything but acting and comedy. The latter not so much anymore.I'm a big fan of his early work but he's lost it somewhere. The ability to be funny I mean.

  4. Well, he is an actor so I guess he will go where the work is. I guess anyone can sit in front of camera and recite lines on cue.

EDIT: Yes you are correct Deenie! I have no faith in these sorts of things whatsoever. But I think you already know this. We have not been visited by another life form. That does not mean that there has been, is or will exist th epossibility that there could be life elsewhere in the universe. Perhaps even in this galaxy. It just means that i find it very extreemly unlikely that we our little insignificant grain of sand will ever be visited - ever!

  5. No, I didn't know that. But, I am not surprised. After all, he never really seemed to fit in on this planet.

  6. Not only did I know that, but I have learned that he is actually from the planet Remulak and his name is Beldar Conehead! See the incredible photo below.
