When you have answered these questions, do you find it odd that one of my questions was struck down because I asked, "Who said, life eats life?"

  1. Yes, the mystery of life, is that you must eat, or be eaten, and eventually we are all eaten!

  2. Oh - a couple of terrified religious idiots probably turned you in because they figured that your question was against their Jesus - or something.  That's all it takes to get a question removed.

No - I was not aware that Joe Campbell said "Life eats life" - and what it means, I have no idea.  I do eat cows and pigs for dinner - is that what it means?

Then I could be quoted as saying - "Life eats life, and life tastes pretty good with a little salt and garlic".

  3. Yes, Joseph Campbell said that in his book 'The Hero's Journey', his memoir.

He wasn't the first, though, people have said that before. Jack London says it in the Sea Wolf.
