When was the last time you died?  Death/Satan is very powerful. Have you been there lately? In my opinion unless you have been there done that, you have no qualification to comment or speculate on it.

He did not.  But this myth is more often ascribed to Darwin -- who did not, either.  (The Darwin tale comes from someone who was not even there; it is simply a lie.)  And, in any event, this is irrelevant: a theory must stand on the evidence, and whether or not it remains believed by its propounder has nothing whatever to do with it.
