Geraldine Ferraro's contribution to women leaders in America? I was surprised yesterday when Geraldine thanked Palin for giving the first official acknowledgment of her significant contribution to women since 1988 when she ran as the VP candidate on the democratic ticket. What took so long for anyone to acknowledge such a tremendous accomplishment?

  1. I really like Palin. I hope now we'll begin to see an end to all of the sexism.

  2. Gov. Palin is a class act.

She realizes she is where she is due to her hard work and those before her, for once in a great long while the more she speaks the better it gets. What a 'change'.

  3. No I didn't. I think it's interesting that she likes to acknowledge the accomplishments of democratic women. You will be seeing those sound bites being used against Mccain's campaign quite a bit.

  4. Women DO tend to stick together

  5. That makes me even more proud to call her our future VP.

  6. Yeah where was Hillary? The Dems say they want change, there candidate is not showing it.

  7. That doesn't change the fact that McCain would have been better off picking Urkel as his running mate:

At least people know who Urkel is!

  8. Maybe this country is more sexist than I thought...Not that Ferraro didn't get elected, I mean, that no one acknowledged her.  She was even backing Hillary earlier this year, and Hillary didn't acknowledge her accomplishments.

  9. The Republicans gave us the first black Secretary of State

The Republicans gave us the first black WOMAN Secretary of State

The Republicans gave us the first female Supreme Court Justice

The Republicans gave us an administration under Bush with the most women and minorities of any previous administration

AND NOW: The Republican's will give us the first woman Vice President

  10. Yes, isn't that classy?  Apparently Hillary had made some vague in private comment to Ferraro, but never acknowledge the ground breaking in public.
