are made of rice? and a lot of it? You see this how these companies are making the money. They're giving its consumers really CHEAP, worthless products. They put all these watered- down cheap ingredients like rice, malt, and water, and not hardly any hops, rye, yeast, or barley. Cheap beer may be made with other ingredients too.

Rice beer? Since these kinds of beers are made of a lot rice and water, shouldn't they lower their prices? and not try to measure up to the good-tasting beer made of rich and high quality ingredients? They must be rolling in money since they have so many dedicated consumers.

  1. Budweiser is a pilsner and the rice cuts cost and keeps the beer light. The end product, at least for the standard Budweiser, is a fair pils. Nothing exciting, nothing terrible. There are certainly superior Pilsners and vastly superior beer types and brands out there. I think the light versions are junk, but I'm not prone to point that out to people enjoying them. Their money, their beer, such is life. I'm sure they'd have opinions on the quality of my choice of peanut butter, coffee beans or wine.

As for lowing their price, Bud is one of the cheapest beers on the market. It does cost something to put that bottle on the shelf, no matter how cheap it was to produce in the first place.

As for your criticism, I'd suggest a complex strategy of not drinking Anheuser-Busch products and letting others who don't share you deep and superior understanding of quality beer consume theirs in relative peace by either buying them something better or just shutting up. It may take some work, but I think you can manage.

If you feel you MUST share your penny and a half of wisdom, and I'm docking you that half penny for being so smug and self righteous, why don't you start your own brewery and show AB just how it's done? You seem to have a world of knowledge about marketing, pricing and brewing, I'm sure JDubb beer will take the crown away from Bud easily.

So, to answer your question, yes. Yes most people are well aware that there is rice in Budweiser. As for Miller, I'll point out the MGD and their standard High Life have won several gold medals in American beer competitions. Seems somebody likes them.

  2. As long as people continue to buy it en mass, they will continue to not care. Most people don't care anyway though.

Most of it IS cheaper than quality beer though.

  3. They are cheaper for the consumer than quality beers. That and advertising are two of the main reasons they are much more popular with the general public.
