They have done studies on this. And yes, real, official, not fake, unofficial ones.

  1. Because of the innocence of a child, they have the ability to actually see and perceive things that we, as adults, do not.

Children are not already reckoned to the world and everything around us.  They are 'pure' and they are, for the most part, innocent in their undertakings.

They also have the uncanny ability to sense danger.  When my niece was a baby in the bassinet sleeping, she began screaming uncontrollably.  My sister was in the living room and rushed into the bedroom to see why she started crying and screaming so loud.  Well, at the very end of the little mattress there was a black widow spider.  Now, my niece was only 8 weeks old, so she was no where near the end, in fact she was curled up on her stomach in the fetal position.

So, she was able to automatically 'sense' that danger that was so close, yet so far away from her feet.  That 6th sense actually works for children.  As we grow older, most of us lose that or ignore the impressions we get.

  2. i did not know that.  can you post some of your studies

  3. no i did not, but, can you provide more details.....because if you cited ghosts, then that would lead to other manifestations

related to the spiritual word, one thing is calling it,the other is see it coming at you, they can be guardian angels , and not necessarily ghosts

  4. Thanks for asking this question, or more likely making this statement again you tool. I'll do a little repost.

I'll answer your question with another one. Do you know that this is totally unfounded and that the existance of ghosts or any other spiritual being hasn't been proven in a scientific setting or with any empirical evidence? Until this is proven, I doubt that Imaginary friends is something you should be touching bases with. I had an imaginary friend as a child, sure, but I knew he was imaginary and non-existant. I couldnt even see him, it was simply something I did to have someone to blame stupid stuff that I did on and to not feel lonely. Anyway, what I'm saying is that youre question is more of a statement and that you should do a little research before simply believing something you read online on some goths myspace.

  5. I would say that imaginary friends are just that, imaginary. But I do believe children and adults can see ghosts.

  6. When my cousin was little my uncle and a work friend discovered that both their kids had the same imaginary friend (the blue boy).  The kids didn't know each other.  It could have been coincidence but I can believe that maybe it wasn't.  Also, maybe when people get older they remember that they had imaginary friends but absolutely cannot remember that they really could see them b/c of the paradigm we have that these things cannot happen.  I'm pretty sure however that what your stating hasn't actually been proven, as others have mentioned.

  7. No they aren't and any studies would be as silly as the idea.Very ,very, very silly.

  8. I have vivid memories of my childhood and there were no ghosts or paranormal activities.  The earliest dream I have memory of was at 2 years old.  I know how old I was because we lived in this house until I was 3.  I still remember the exact layout of the house.

  9. When I was about 5 I had this dream: 3 saints with very expensive clothes (gold, some green, yellow and violet minerals) punched me very hard. It hurt bad, and I felt the pain even after I wake up. After that I could "hear" in my thoughts somebody that turned out to protect me. I called him Justin (Just-in). Now I am grown up (31) and I usually have a hard time to call him. He doesn't apear in that clarity as I was a child.

  10. I'm not going to bash anyone here, I am going to try an explanation. First I will say yes I believe it could be possible in some cases, but not all. on one hand when we are small we don't usually go around saying that we have an imaginary friend, we call them what we call them, by name. As we grow up, we are conditioned to believe that nothing out of the ordinary exists, and that if we hear, or see something, our eyes or ears are playing tricks on us. Therefore our parents/elders call them imaginary friends. Next I would point out that young children are more open to the unknown because they have not yet been conditioned to believe, or to not believe, they see and hear what they see and hear. As we grow older however some become non believers, some retain their ability to see things, and some just know that something isn't right, and are always searching for answers. We all know that there are plenty of non believers, but there are many of us that know there is something more. Again, I will say that yes a small child might have a ghost as a friend.

  11. i had an imaginary friend when i was a little girl....dont believe it was a ghost though. i was around 3-4. but by the time i went to school i guess i had other kids to play with and i didnt need my imaginary friend any more.

  12. No, imaginary friends are simply imaginary friends, and "they" have not "done studies" on this (who are "they", anyway? reference?)

This is pure silliness. Don't be so gullible.

  13. They havent proven that ghosts exist, how could they prove that imaginary friends are ghosts.

    This statement is rediculous.

Imaginary friends are just that. Didnt you have one when you were a kid?

Im thinking your study was done using the movie "Drop Dead Fred" as evidence.

  14. oh,yeah?i quite consciously invented a person called"callie from bubbly springs" when i  was 4.i also had an invisible pet cat.i NEVER saw callie or peachy, but i played with them and told parents stories about them.at some level,i was aware i created them, and i knew they were not real.i dont know why i made them up,i just did.ps- i think ghosts exist, but i have never seen one.

  15. I thought that was all myth? Do you know of any articles or websites supporting your statement?
