Well ... that's what the bumper stickers say. I see them all the time on the highway, as well as the ones that say "Impeach Bush" and "01.20.09 - Bush‘s last day.”

When will liberals realize that Bush has no control over gas prices, and that most of the current problems are a result of Democrat's in congress? Liberals are unbelievable.

  1. Well of course.  I am sure that the republican led congress had nothing to do with it.    I am sure that the war in Iraq driving up the national debt has nothing to do with the dollars decline and just because the dollars decline is one of the largest factors leading up to the price of oil rising is just a coincidence.  I am sure that deregulation couldn't have anything to do with speculators artificially driving up prices.  I am sure that just because the bush family is making a ton of money off of the prices going up is just a myth.  I am sure that the economy doesn't lag behind fiscal decisions at all.  Just because it always does, doesn't mean a thing this time.

  2. So Billions of American tax money isn't going to the wars that the Republicans started?

We Americans aren't paying for those taxes on war through ...... i dunno, FOOD, GAS, AND SO ON!!!

    READ LITTLE GIRL, READ!!!

  3. True. Obama or McCain, they still won't control the economy. Because that is not their job.

  4. I did notice that when the Democrats left D.C. and went on vacation the price of gas started to go down. Could it be that they are responsible for the high gas prices?

  5. thank the liberals/democrats for this...all this global warming c**p. UMMM okay...wind power (tboone)...yeah he's pushing that hard, probably cause he has tons of money invested in this c**p shoot...oh yeah and so does nancy palosi...what a shocker!  Wake up people...oil...we need it.....there are no other solutions out there that we are going to have replace oil in the next 10-20 years....but for you democrat followers.....it seems ignorance is always bliss for you guys...do us all a favor and do more research instead of relying on msnbc;etc for all your facts and information.....

  6. Keep drinking that Kool-aid, it's never going to happen.

  7. But when demecrats got in the house it jumped 2.00$.

  8. Maria please name one house resolution or senate bill that Bush didn't veto that trashed the economy, I'm tired on you right wing Fascist lying. And by the way in Louisiana it was anywhere from .99 - 1.09 a gallon why your party took over the White House, Senate, Congress and Justice Department.  Please for once, I have posted this request several times and no one has been able to produce one bill that backs up your lies.  Just because you keep repeating lies it doesn't make it the truth.

  9. Bush has a lot to do with what's happening in America. He destroyed us in many ways. Lets just hope we don't go through another Great Depression because of him. I hope McCain doesn't get elected because he will make everything even WORST!!!

  10. yup and the liberals are the primary cause of the increase.  let them have their way and we will be paying $10 per gallon.

  11. Liberals don't get high marks in Economics.

  12. Good Point. No president can control the prices of things, it takes Business and Market Speculators. Now, Congress can vote to try and stop it, but why? They would much rather go on vacation. If Libs say McCain is GWB the third, then, by the same logic, isn't Oabma.... Pelosi the 2nd? I'll take the former every time.

  13. Can you point to a specific thing that Democrats have done in Congress that caused gas prices to rise? No, no you can't, because you made it up.

Nobody can control gas prices, not Republicans or Democrats, although Republicans would have you believe that prices can be reduced by giving oil companies more tax breaks. The only way to deal with it is to reduce your dependence on oil and invest in alternative energy sources and electric cars.

  14. Bush and Cheney are oil men. Who do you think is speculating in oil futures, thus driving up oil prices?  Duh! Oil men.  Get real.  These guys have made bushels of money for themselves and their oil industry buddies.  They knew what they were doing and didn't care about you and me.  It's kind of like direct taxes to the oil companies.  You pay twice as much at the pump and they get the money directly.  Oh, yea.  They get tax subsidies, too. What a scam!

  15. Yeah, and it was only $1.84 over 7 years later when Nancy Pelosi took office in January 2007.  Gas has more than doubled in 1.5 years.  This is the same Pelosi who continues to fight efforts to expand oil drilling and proven alternative energy sources such as nuclear because she is "trying to save the planet."

  16. You can read bumper stickers.  What else can you do?

  17. And the WTC buildings were still standing in NY, and New Orleans was a vibrant and bustling city, and World Com and Enron were enormously successful corporations, and there were no housing refinance scandals dominating the news, the dot com industry was rolling in dough, no bridges collapsing and all of the disasters and all of these events are Bush's fault.

Your right, liberals are definitely unbelievable, to say the least.

  18. Plays to emotion...thus the base does not have to think, or understand simple economics, supply and demand...

last thing you want is to share blame when easier to point fingers

  19. Bush had no control over gas prices, but he didn't do anything he could have to bring them down and his illegal, self-serving war in Iraq is the reason why the initial price run-ups happened.  I look forward to watching you (try to) back up your hypothesis that all the current problems are due to a congress that's been in for two years.  And you say liberals are unbelievable.

I'm a moderate.  Get educated and get with the program.

  20. Yes and when liberals took over Congress the body that could do something about it the price was just under $2 a gal.

So it rose 50 cents over the 4 years before a Democrat Congress took over and $2.00 in the 2 years after.

    Glad you asked

  21. Maria, how old are you? 13? Did your daddy recite this same rant in his SUV as he drove you to school this morning?

Let's play word association. Bush - President - War - Iraq - Oil - Prices. I'll go ahead and assume you figured out how all of those things are related.

  22. Yes.  I also know that when democrats took over congress, gas was $2.00 a gallon.

  23. Sorry, but a president DOES have a LOT of influence over these things.  Bush captained the greatest increase in the national deficit in history -- greater than the combined deficits of ALL administrations in the history of the nation COMBINED.   That has lead to a massive DECLINE in the value of the dollar.  Since crude oil is priced in US dollars on the global markets, prices of crude MUST RISE to maintain the same revenue stream for the foreign sellers.

Why does an increase in the deficit kill the value of the dollar?  Simple!  The Fed has to keep interest rates artificially low to keep the cost of financing the deficit low -- if you can call half a TRILLION dollars "low!"  That's right, the cost of the interest on the national debt is nearly as large as the entire Department of Defense annual budget!

When interest rates are kept low, investment in US securities generates a lower rate of return.  THAT drives down the value of the dollar in relation to foreign currencies.

When will the Neo-Cons understand that this is basic Economics 101??

And maybe you can explain why since crude prices rose 164% from 2001 until 2006 but only about 37% since when the Dems took back Congress in 2007 that that they are the cause?  Sorry, but that's simply defective logic on its face!

Stop drinking the Neo-Con Sweet Tea.  It will rot your brain faster than battery acid!

  24. lol, d**n hippies.

  25. bush didn't even know the price of gas. it is a sad day. since bush is responsible for the war.

  26. Off shore drilling will eventually help in the mean time get your tire pressure gage ready.  McCain leading in solutions
