Sometimes I completely forget about all the annoyances of viruses and trying to remove them....

Been using Ubuntu to long :P Oh I still have a windows installation, but I strictly use it for games and NOTHING else...

Wow... but then, at work and on forums.... sometimes your reminded of the problems...

Basically, the question is, would you rather deal with viruses all day than to spend alittle time learning how to use another OS? Especially if all you do is listen to music and browse the internet...

  1. I have two macs.  They don't get viruses and they are so much better than pcs.

Actually you can run windows programs on a mac.

  2. I've had ton's of Virus... down to ARES I think... I've even got a message from ONE CARE LIVE saying I have a virus no action has been taken... but I've never had a virus that's made a probelm... ? So Yes I'd keep the virus & not learn a New OS.. the problem with OS is like if you had a Windows but bought a MAC then all you're CD's... & Games & Everything that is for Window's won't work no ? Big expence to me..

  3. I have been using computers for a very long time and never had a virus on my computer. I do use an anti-virus/anti-spyware package (Norton) and I never trust things that are too good to be true.

Ubuntu and other UNIX-variations are useful for many things, but for games, video editing, sound editing and software development, there is nothing like XP or Vista. I used UNIX for many years, long before Windows even existed. It is OK.

It is good to have choices between Mac, UNIX or WIndows. Most people do not seem to care what OS they run, as long as they can browse the internet, check email and do documents. Quick, what is the OS on your cellphone? For the 10-15 CPU's that the typical modern car has? You probably don't know or care, yet you drive and make calls with confidence.

  4. Linux Ubuntu all the way!

and you dont need windows... ubuntu gane play windows games and even emulate ps2 and ps games:
