Did you know there was an Arab Cup of Ice Hockey?

The tournament featured the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Algeria, and Kuwait.

The International Ice Hockey Federation does not sanction this tournament, but is providing referees as a measure of support to help grow the sport in a region where no one would think they'd be able to find a hockey rink.

  3. Well since they can have cross country skiing in the UAE, ice hockey would not be that much of a stretch in that region. It is a cool story though.

  5. Yeah, there's also the Asia Cup too. Australia and New Zealand hosts their own tournament as well (can't remember what it's called).
