  1. I didnt because I dont have the time.  I go to the store and buy organic baby food.  When he gets bigger Ill just feed him what I make. :)

  2. I did because I felt it was best for my kids.  I had a little grinder thing that I cranked and it pureed the food.  I used jars of baby food only when going out.

My daughter did the 1s, then the 2s and followed the schedule.  But now that her baby is 9 months old, she's feeding him table food. (so am I when he's at my house)  We mush the food a litte, don't season it or give him food that his pediatrician hasn't ok'd yet, such as peanut butter (not until 2 yrs old), no nuts, oops we gave him cheese and he loves it but you really shouldn't give them dairy until they are 12 months old except for formula, and certain other foods.  But he loves veggies and fruits and cereals and potatoes and rice.

I believe that home cooked food is more wholesome, as long as you use fresh foods and your pediatrician ok's the foods.

  3. I did- I made about 10 of annabel carmels recipes, put it all in ice cube trays and froze it, then my daughter would not eat any of it !!  I tried everything but she would only eat Hipp organic jars !!!  She loved these and I must admit it was so much easier as I knew there was no salt in them and they had a great balance of all the nutrients.

  4. I enjoy cooking and have made the food for myself and my husband for years.  I saw no reason to do differently with my baby.

  5. I do, because its so easy and alot cheaper than buying jarred food. And, this way I know exactly what is going into it and I know how fresh it is.

  6. My little one is not on baby food yet but I do plan on making it myself. It is a lot cheaper. It doesn't take much more time to make my own then it is to cook for my husband and I.

  7. I did mainly because it was cheaper.  There is also a since of pride in knowing that you are taking the time to make your baby fresh, preservative free food.

  8. Yes, for the following reasons:

    1. It's fun!  (Sounds odd, but it really is an opportunity to learn more about cooking)

    2. I know exactly what I'm giving my son, and how fresh it is.

    3. Freshness of fruits and veggies!

    4. It saves me quite a bit of money.

    5. The jarred foods don't always have what I'm looking for, for him.
