  1. Hi -

I had that sciatic nerve going on ..... I ended up on our couch.....and I laid on my side and kind of wedged myself into the part where the sitting part of the couch meets the back of the couch.....the 90 degree angle.  That way, my back was really supported and I could even elevate my feet by sleeping in the corner of the couch (we have a sectional) and putting my feet up on the back of the couch, where my head should sit.  Make sense?  It REALLY helped me!  Good luck!!

  2. Im like you and 32 weeks pregnant - I found that sleeping on my lounge helped as I was able to support my back and a pillow under my tummy was all I needed to get comfortable.  Also sleeping during the day (assuming you have finished working) is really good and helpful.  I also try and go to bed prior to my partner so that I can at least fall asleep before he comes in and starts tossing and turning himself.

  3. I honestly didn't sleep well at night EVER. The only time I ever slept well was during the day. You may want to try taking short naps during the day; this may help you to feel more rested in case you can't quite sleep at night. I hope things get a bit easier for you, though to be honest, I can't really foresee sleep coming any easier until the baby is born. Good luck!!!

  4. I slept during the day. When I would get off work or when I stopped working around 36 1/2 weeks. I slept like a baby during the day but tossed and turned all night!

Good luck! It'll be over before you know it and all worth it!

  5. I'm 33 weeks, and I've just had to kind of prop myself up with about 4 or 5 pillows under me.  They are from my upper back to my head to support me.  Good luck. :)  I know it's difficult to get comfy.

  6. get some silky pajama's. they help you slide around and move a little easier. use lots of pillows, keep the tums next to your bed for heartburn, eat light snacks, and don't drink too much fluid a few hours before bedtime. this will help with the heartburn and 20 million trips to the bathroom during the night. these things helped me a lot! not totally a cure, but it definatley helps!

for charlie horses, have a banana before bed. if you feel your leg or foot start to cramp up, flex your foot up towards you, then point your toes towards the end of the bed. do it fast before your leg completley cramps up. sometimes it helps, sometimes it dosent.

  7. oh man...im 36 weeks and sleep hasnt been in my vocabulary since week like 26. between the restless leg syndrome, charlie horses, peeing, big belly, and ANNOYING boyfriend (he likes to spread out practically kicking me off the bed) i dont get any sleep. i get most of my sleep through a nap mid-day.

to limit the bathroom interuptions stop drinkin fluids like an hour or so before you plan on going to bed and pee RIGHT before you get into bed. this dosent guarentee a bathroom free night, but when i do this i usually only wake up once for this reason and it tends to be around 5am.

try to do alot during the day but dont over due it. go on a nice walk, do some cleaning, cook a nice dinner. it helps wear you out but i find that when ive done alot during the day i get really bad RLS and leg cramps so take a nice warm bath before bed and it helps!

  8. you should start sleeping properly again soon, well in about a year anyways.

Motherhood = no sleep and it begins before the babies even arrive :)

i used to put a pillow behind my back one under my belly and one between my thighs for comfort, it helped but nothing will fix it

  9. I am 30 weeks nearly and am really uncomfortable. I have tried the last few nights sleep in my side with a pillow under or between my legs. It kind of helps... this is my 6th baby and I have never found a great remedy!

  10. Tons of pillows can be your best bet in your 3rd trimester. I find that it also helps to take a relaxing shower before bed. I've also been drinking a glass of milk right before I go to sleep and it seems to calm me down.

  11. sounds crazy but lots of pillows and make sure there is one between you legs, oh back pain is usually the worst and having something pressed against your back lightly like when you lay on a sofa is was the most comfortable for me, also having a light fan or something moving the air around you will help keep you cool and comfortable.

Good luck maybe any of those things will work, the only other thing is a luke warm cup of tea like Camile or green tea always helped relax my mind.

  12. lots of pillows.  put one wherever you hurt.  I had to lay on my side, and put one between my legs, one under my stomach, one behind my back (to lean on), and one under my head of course!

  13. Not really, I had a lot of gastric reflux and had to sleep with two huge pillows.  My GP gave me some tablets though and it made it better.
