  1. I suggest that you can chat with recruiting insiders to know the fact. I also would like to recommend you a networking jobsite--jobirn.com. It is basically a job board while it has functions of social network. You can chat with HR managers or recruiters directly just via the chat box of the site. Moreover, you can conduct video interview if you like. You can even add other members to "My Contacts" list and establish your social network for career.

  2. i negotiate. or just demand what my rates are and won't go lower.

but then i freelance. so its a bit different.

  3. Research on negotiating salary has shown that as many as 4 out of 5 companies are willing to negotiate the compensation package. However only a small percentage of job candidates actually enter into negotiations with a prospective employer as they feel ill equipped to deal with negotiations. Negotiating your salary is composed of two major stages - the preparation and planning stage and the actual negotiation where communication and information sharing takes place. The preparation and planning stage involves gathering information and planning your actual negotiation strategy. You need to know what your competitive market value is, what your value to the company is and what your salary negotiation range is. If the salary you have been offered does not meet your market value or your basic salary requirements you should consider negotiating the compensation package. 4. My current job came about as the result of a temporary work assignment that was extended.  That later became a 'direct hire' position.  I didn't have the opportunity to negotiate a salary or package of benefits/compensation.  Wish I had. . . . .
