He had his mind made up to invade Iraq. He didn't try diplomacy because he wanted this war. He got it and now he's leaving this mess for the next president to try to clean up. He never gave peace a chance.

Right. When is the last time the the U.S. was at total peace? Never. Starting with the Native Americans up through all of the wars and little conflicts here and there, America has never been at total peace up to this day.

To the first answerer, the reason we are "AT WAR" is because of  Bush.  And yes, I notice that's all he talks about.  It is getting old fast and I am glad we will be done with this by the end of the decade.  I understand certain wars are necessary, but not ever Iraq.  The man doesn't believe in any sort of peace though.  A chickenhawk until the end.

peace happens when you vanquish all your enemies. This nation has had little time in history when we didn't have a war going on somewhere, it is the nature of man to engage in a show of force, and we got the biggest guns, and the biggest hearts. That is why we must always be the victor.When we do not conquer the enemy, we get things like Korea and viet nam.
