  1. yes

  2. Gas prices dropped due to a decrease in demand. It is a commodity, and  prices fluctuate based on supply and demand.  Bush's lifting the moratorium on drilling was strictly symbolic, because Congress has their own moratorium. You might want to consider a basic economics course.

  3. Yes and when they announce we are going to drill it will drop much lower. Its based on speculation which is based on oil futures.

    Drill now! Pay less!

  4. LOL Go back to school if you think those were related. It was the world wide deepening of the Bush recession. Before he signed it, it was widely believed that China and Europe's economy could run without the US. That has been proven not true since then.

Did rescinding his father's order make the price of the dollar go up? No

There is no demand for oil now, because so few people are working world wide.

I cannot believe you do not know that was stunt coordinated with the governor of Florida. Florida will never allow drilling. The would be idiots to give up their tourism revenue for the paltry short term boost they would get from drilling.

Not to mention that the highway coming from the port of Houston is bumper to bumper with giant windmill blades on trucks. It is incredible.

  5. Yes, of course.

Just more evidence that the democrats don't understand the economy.

The price was being propped up based on speculation about "peak oil".

with more drilling a possibility- peak oil is further off.   So the price drops.

Democrats cannot be trusted with the economy...
