Did you or anyone you know hang your babies first pair of shoes in your car?

i would imagine that they would get in the way

I've had friends do that. they don't get in the way much at all. the shoes are tiny. but they do get damaged in the heat and sun.

i have my babies first shoes packed away with some of my favorite outfits that each wore the first year of their life. i don't have a pair of shoes yet for my youngest...it's been pretty hot here and he's crawling so shoes seem a bit pointless.

ill save them, but i wont hang them in my car.

My friend's girlfriend did when she was pregnant...I thought it was silly.

Of course not.  The sunlight and the heat would damage them.  I have my daughter's first white leather high-topped walkers in a keepsake box, and another box for her first tiny pair of Nikes that we bought even before she could sit up!

Nope, never even heard of it. I have heard of people bronzing their child's first pair....my grandma did that for my mom!!

I don't and don't know anyone who has and haven't ever really heard of doing that before.  Seems kind of silly...

lol nope I don't know anyone who does that but if we had of people would have been boggled. My son came out with huge feet so people would most likely wonder why we had a 5 year olds sneakers hanging from our mirror :P

We did.  The bad thing is our car broke down & was towed...then we had it junked and my husband forgot to get the shoes out, so we lost our daughter's first pair of shoes.

I've seen it and I suppose its the same mentality that makes people hang furry dice from the rear view mirror. To me it would be a damned nuisance.

My son has a pair or red converse sneaks they are so cute. They matched my car. so yes I did. And to answer the first person the reason behind it is at first i thought it was just a cute thing to do but now when I'm driving and look up at them it it brings back old memories .

Nope. Never heard of it. I did once feel obliged to display my nodding dog airfeshner on the dashboard because my MIL bought it me for my birthday. Not the best present ever.

I know alot of people who have done that, but I'm on baby # 4 so thats just too much.

I dont know anyone who's done that. I keep my handcuffs up there but no not baby shoes.
