not having anyone in the delivery room with you? What do you think about it? I don't think I'm doing this it's just that my Mom is the only person in the world I would let in there and we got in a fight. We still have 4 months to get back on good terms but I was just thinking about it and it made me really sad. What do you think?

  1. I could never have NO one in the room.

You're really going to want someone there, to hold your hand, or hold up your leg, and just coach you on.

It's going to be the happiest moment of your life, you're going to absolutely want someone to share it with.

If you don't want your baby's father there, you're going to want your momt there, trust me. 4 months is plenty of time to repair things with her.

I can't imagine going through childbirth without anyone there.

Whatever it is that has you 2 fighting is gonna seem so miniscule when you're pushing a baby out!

Good luck in fixing things with your mom. It'll be worth having her there.

  2. I don't think its a bad thing to not have anyone there, but at the same time I would want to have someone to hold my hand and be around during the miracle of having a baby.

  3. I would want my husband and my mom to be i nthe dilivery room and no one else. I think that is a special moment and my husband should be their to witness it. I want my mom b/c she can help and support me while im in the dilivery room.

  4. i had my best friend and my mother and my babys father in there at first..but when it got down to go time with pushing out my baby it was only me and the baby father it was OUR moment. i dont think i would have done it alone... the whole entire time i was in labor(it was tooo long) they took turns and really helped me through especially up to the push point

  5. Really the only person I want in there with me is my mom and if she couldn't be there I would probably be ok with just being in there with nobody else.  I am very close to my mom and I would probably still demand her in there even if we had a fight, sometimes we just need our moms you know.

  6. I'm sure even if your fighting when your close to delivery when it comes down to it, she'll be there for you. I would have a VERY hard time being alone delivering. I'm sure you won't have to worry about it though.

  7. The ONLY person I wanted in the delivery room with me was my Husband. My Mother stresses me out! =]

I think you should allow your baby's father in the room, even if you aren't on good terms; he should be able to see his child enter the world: it will help him with bonding later.

    good luck!

  8. my wife delivered 3 times, i was alone with her each time... on her second delivery, her father tried to popup in the door once... she mostly killed him on sight... she wanted to have nobody but me around...

i don't like the idea of sharing the birth. not that i am possessive or anything, it's just that i'm not into it. i don't want my kids to see their mother cry out loud for hours, suffering and bleeding. they already have to endure her on her pms.. lol  anyway, this is just me... a lot of people are proud to share this moment, the most intimate of all... the beauty of life.

  9. the only person i want in with me is my partner

my mums realy supportive but i want the first moments with our baby to be just us

my partners mum offered to be in as well but i dont want anybody else in with me but him

  10. Don't worry. Mom's and daughters fight all the time and in four months it will be like it never happened. If you and your Mom are that close, for her to be the only person you want in there, then I'm sure it will work out! But if you would prefer to be in there without anyone, then that is your choice. Everyone is different. If it were me, I would only want me husband or no one, but that's just because me and my Mom don't have that amount of closeness. I'm sure everything will work out! :)
