  1. I have a dual player in my PC, an LG dual in my theater and an xbox add on HDDVD in my bedroom. Even though I can play both, I'm glad the war is over. It will be easier for the rental shops to carry a larger selection now. My only weak link is the bedroom, but Microsoft has announced that they will support Bluray for xbox so I just have to wait a bit.

I'm also glad because Hollywood Video sold me several HD-DVDs today for 10 bucks each!

  2. nope. but u didnt get robbed. u should have read into it before u bought it and realize there where 2 formats competing

  3. I got an LG dual format player so I was safe no matter how the format war turned out. Expensive, but happy with my decision.

  4. ya i got the HD player for the XBOX 360...at least it was a gift and i didnt pay for it...

  5. At the end of the day no one got robbed.  Toshiba/Microsoft sold their HD DVD players at a significant loss to try to flood the market.  When it's all said and done HD DVD player owners ended up with a pretty good DVD up-scaler for a little more than average price.

  6. yeah, thats why i stick with the orignal dvd's. will everyone likes HD movies. then the dvd will be cheaper. i have hd tv but i dont wanna waste money on a blu ray player. i rather spent on something useful.

  7. I bought a PS3. I figured buy one console get both Blu Ray player and game console if things don't work out on the format wars I still can use it as a game and a DVD upscaler. That way I couldn't loose, but I could win big...and I did.

I feel sorry for the HD DVD buyers though.

  8. I waited.
