  1. Dianne I have to be honest, I didn't. I am on solar power. So for me to click off the main breaker would have not saved power from the power company.  This is a very good question. I don't know how many in town participated, guess I will find out in the paper in the am.

  2. Not only was the peace and quiet enjoyable, but it made me realize just how unprepared I was for an emergency outage. It was fun watching how my 5 yr old son reacted.

  3. I turned off all the lights, but I turned on the oven to make up for it.

Then some fool burnt down the empty house on the corner, the policy of the Flint Fire Dept. is if abandoned, let it burn, save homes on either side of it.  So Yahoo for earth day, one less crack house in Flint, Michigan.

  4. Yes we did too and there was a shift in energy that could be felt.  A stillness.  Have a great day. www.e-zpoolcare.com

  5. I participated in Make the Night Bright and really enjoyed all of the modern technology available to me.

  6. My husband and I did.  For the entire hour we sat and talked and enjoyed each other's company.  We spend much of the time talking about conservation and ways that we, as individuals, can do our part to reduce the energy we use and make the world a little greener.  It was nice.  We were both saying that if everyone did this once a month think how much energy we would be saving.  The impact might make a difference if everyone joined in and did their part.  I found it empowering.

  7. No I fell asleep.

  8. I drove around in my Hummer for an hour.
