Did you read the article about Lonely Planet?

Anyone ever found significant inaccuracy in Lonely Planet? I did. The Lonely Planet said that this one hotel had a gorgeous, private beach, and while it was private you couldnt even swim in the water. I found that very misleading after paying thousands of dollars to visit the country and stay at the 5 star resort. We ended up going to the public beach because it was so much better.

I have not found anything this blatantly incorrect in the Lonely Planet. I have stayed at fantastic hotels that were not even mentioned, and I have thought that it would have been nice to be warned about such-and-such, when it mentioned at all in the guide.

You should write to them, and advise them. They will check out your comments and probably use them in a future edition. If they do, you get a free copy of it, and your name gets published in the back with all the other contributors.
