Apparently he was asked in the exam to describe the room he was sitting in and he wrote "F- Off".

The Chief examiner said it showed "some very basic skills [they] were looking for -- like conveying some meaning and some spelling," and that he "would have got more if he had added some punctuation" like an exclamation mark afterwards...

oh dear!!!

  1. f----- off!!

Do I get the points for that?

  2. i actually thought it was a joke article when i saw it .. What is the world coming to!

  3. Unbelievable aint it.

  4. Let's go into hiding together. I think the world has lost all its sensibility. THE TEACHER ACTUALLY WROTE THAT?!? Omg, what a world. Usually when you're asked to describe the room you're sitting in, you generally don't USE curse words. Wahh. I think I will go into my room and cry at the lack of decorum and English skills.

  5. Well they were looking for some understanding of language! They didn't say which bits!

  6. I did see it and I despair as much as I assume you did.

When the F word is regarded by the education authorities as "communication skills" Britain has to be seen as very close to hitting the buffers.

He would have got more marks if he had added an exclamation mark.....

    What can one say?
