If you read the New York Post yesterday, you would know what im talking about. It was on yesterday newspaper on Page 4. This is what Palin says, "Our National leaders- are sending [US soldiers] out on a task that is from God"

"That's what we have to make sure. That's [what] we're praying for - that there is aplan and that plan is God's plan"

I just hate the fact that she puts God into this. I do believe in God but What does God have to do with the War?? Does she think bringing God into this will get her more votes? If you have an answer for that, please do share your opinions

  1. wow... she's so holy and righteous that her daughters' having a baby before marriage... nice..! thats exactly what God likes..! I'm certain she's the one God chose..!

  2. In every WAR every BATTLE every shot fired when in conflict men and women on both sides have looked to GOD for support in the defeat of evil or perceived evil.

Throughout history this has been a theme. Governor Palin is a Christian Mom with a son about to enter battle. She is not afraid of her beliefs in God - She is a woman of principle and shall not be a woman of political correctness but a woman of what is right for this Country.

Mush more then you can say for the Obama Biden ticket that fears offending anyone and would rather sacrifice honor - respect and integrity for false dance around the issue lies

  3. Hate all you want....you have not cornered the market on hate.

    Check out Obamas books.

  4. hey, bush said god told him to invade Iraq. So it's clearly a task from god. It's quite possible that that means she won't make a better president/vice-president than Bush/Cheney. But hey, Bush/Cheney got selected for a second term. Somebody in the United States must love their politics. Strange that nobody really mentioned them at the republican convention though. Neither Cheney nor Bush attended personally.

  5. She was speaking to a church group, and you edited the quote to make it sound like she was saying that the solders are on a mission from God.

What she actually said was to pray that our leaders are doing God's will. That's not an uncommon prayer, and it's especially common for someone in the Assemblies of God, like Palin is. Praying for leaders to have wisdom and strength is the right idea.

And, honestly, it's a nice sentiment. The secular version of this sentiment is "I really hope we're doing the right thing."

  6. That was as a private citizen, before accepting the nomination for VP. Not that I am opposed to using God in their comments, but I am sure, as in last night's speech, she will "weigh" her words, so as not to offend anyone!
