3 teanms could be No 1 in the world come Saturday night.

NZ currently hold this postion and have done so for 3 years but their throne is under threat. If SA win then NZ drop to 2nd.

If Eng win (by less than 16 points) then NZ hang on the No 1 slot by a tight margin. In the unlikely event that End win by 16+ points, they will be No 1.

Therefore all to play for this weekend.

  1. The situation is fair enough.  It's not as if the WC winner doesnt deserve to have the no.1 spot (although this is pretty contentious and i'm not even going to touch it!) but whoever gets it won't be on top for too long.  I can't help but think that the ABs will again pull back up to the number 1 spot in the not so distant future.  If only they could win a bloody WC!

  2. Regardless of the result by mid july 2008 the All Blacks will be well clear in #1 spot after playing the poms twice and the boks twice in succession.

  3. jonny wilkinson ft. england shouldnt be anywhere NEAR the top 3 world rankings...england have good players but honestly, without wilkinson they will be lost
