think about it if it was a littel over 3/gal back in january and now its a little over 4/gal in july this means that for every six months its raised by another dollar (or 2 dollars for each year) so by this method by nov-dec 2010 gas will be around $9/gal.

the worst part? we may not have to wait till 2010 to see that price.

what is your take on this?

  1. Well, it was $1 a gallon when I started driving 20 years ago.  So if gas went up $2 a year every year, based on your theory gas should now be $40 a gallon.

  2. A very great deal of this price increase is due to the devaluation of the dollar. This will slow or stop soon as American goods are now cheap by comparison around most of thw world. $9/gal gas, while shocking to Americans is not so ridiculous, I'm in Japan at teh moment where gas is currently $7/gallon more or less.

  4. There's an interesting article on http://dailysource.org about what Prine Charles' car runs on. It's under the 'Bits and Pieces' section. The articles on this site are hand-picked from many different news sources so the thier quality is outstanding.

  5. wow that crazy

  6. the price of gas will come down, but its going to take time

I predict by the fall of 2011 gas will average $2.50 /gal
