I have had my belly ring in for many years. I don't mind taking it out but I just worry that it will look bad and I will have those two dark spots from where it was pierced..Any advice? Anyone leave it in during pregnancy? How did it look after??

  2. I just took mine out last night at 11 weeks and 5 days.

  3. I took mine out after my belly button "popped" because it was stretching through the skin and looked like it was gonna tear. I did get an ugly scar(probably from waiting too long to take it out and there wasn't enough lose skin to close the hole with) and my belly button is a little deformed now, the skin on the bottom part of the piercing(the parts that is like in your belly button) never went back so it still looks like there is a hole but there isn't, lol does that make sense? yes i still have dark spots 2 years later. at that point it had been pierced for 10 years. But I also had a very huge baby belly and like no fat so the skin was pulled very tight for like 4 months

I suggest taking it out now, you can always get it re-pierced

  4. I've had my belly ring for about 8 years and took mine out at 4 months..  Its slowly closing but it doesnt look bad at all.  After your pregnancy you can just get it repierced in the same spot if you want :o)

  5. i'm 20 wks 3 days and my doctor said i could keep mine in the whole time. and you can get a pregnancy belly rings

  6. I bought one of those pregnant belly rings.  I keep it in for about 7 months then I took it out.  Every now and then I would put it in just to make sure it wouldn't close up (and it didn't).

  7. I never took it out. I think it got pushed out a little bit but not much. If your really worried about they do have flexible belly button rings. You can get them in cute styles too.

  8. I think it looks tacky when women leave in their belly button rings when their pregnant. I took mine out the second I found out I was pregnant. The downside is however now the scared hole has stretched and now looks like a bullet hole!

  9. i would recommend for you to take it off i had mine for 2 years before i got pregnant and i didn'tt take off till i was 4 months pregnant big mistake i should of took it off sooner cause u will start to feel like it is hurting alot so i took it off and now it has stretched alot like half an inch on top. really gross.

  10. i kept it in with my last 2 pregnancies and i am now 3 months pregnant with my 3rd and am keeping it in for a little longer then i may take it out

  11. You can leave it in for quite awhile - several months...it kinda depends on how much weight you gain and how quickly you gain it.

You will know when to take it out.

If you want to wear it after the baby is born, you may want to stick the ring in just for a second several times a week (after you have stopped wearing it all the time), just to keep the hole open.

I have seen many piercings make it through a pregnancy just fine.

  12. i took mine out ...and it looks okay.  a friend of mine left hers in though =)

  13. i took mine out. it was just a small hole, u can barley tell
