Did you save your baby's umbiblical cord?

  6. i have my daughter umbilical cord some were in one of her baby books. but i guess they don't last for ever. boy friends mom kept her son's and it just disintegrated after a while..

    I know you get a lot of advertising to "bank the cord blood" and all that, but it's a lot of money for something you'll never use...  plus it seemed gross to me to keep the umbilical cord as a souvenir like some parents do - like a fleshy dried up rotting grossness in your baby's book? No thanks. Keep the hospital bracelet! That's what normal people do! Lol.

    So no, I didn't, to be sanitary and less complicated. My son is 2 1/2 and healthy as can be!
