Did you see Bela Karoli tearing up just now?

What do think of what just happened? Bela Karoli says that the Chinese gymnast who just won a medal should have gotten over a point and a half in deductions easily for her routine, but she scored over 15 points.

To me it seems like the judges have taken a medal away from Alicia sacramone and gave it to a chinese gymnast who probably wasn't even old enough to compete.

You have to understand that Karolyi is biased towards the Americans.  DO NOT take whatever he says seriously.  HE's the one that's impartial.

I don't care much for Karolyi's on-air whining, but I'm not surprised that NBC puts such "content" into its already awful Olympics coverage.

And, so long as there are judged events, there's always going to be bias, prejudice, politics and favoritism entering the equation. And there's always going to be favoritism for the host country's athletes.

What's fair to one person is unfair to another.

Here's to hoping that NBC doesn't get coverage rights for any future Olympics. Their coverage has long the worst.

I think they need to keep Bela quiet...he is making us out to sound like a bunch of complaining crybabies.  You want to see a real Olympic athlete who embraces the spirit of the Olympics...see Dara Torres...a very classy lady and athlete.  She should be an example for Bela how to behave.

We all agree. If you ask me, the judges have set the bar pretty low - and not just in the vault competition, but overall.

Does it even matter if you get gold anymore, knowing that the person who got bronze fell? Doesn't speak very highly of the others - and they do deserve praise.

Honestly, though, I don't even care anymore.

He's one to talk!!! What a hypo-crit! Marta and Bela never cared for Alicia before I don't know why they would start now. All this outrage is really for the benefit of Bela and Marta and nobody else. Since their methods left the team with sprained ankles and a silver medal they are just trying to find any excuse to blame everything but themselves and to justify their position as national team coordinator. I'm surprised that they haven't gone home yet. I guess if NBC didn't ask him to stay they would have left by now.

Yeah, we should follow Amercian scoring system over the international scoring system, just like we should have American total medal ranking instead of international gold medal ranking.

Why don’t we have American basketball rule over international rule also?

We are in an international competition, so follow the international rule, take it or leave it.
