All those guys in the military with tanks, heavy duty machine guns, rockets, bombs, and missles from jets that after constantly bombarding that 350 ft Godzilla-sized monster for literally at least 5 hours straight, yess, from nightfall until morning as you'd see if you watched the movie, and then at the end, that monster gets upclose and stands over that guy with the camera throughout the entire movie and Cloverfield doesn't even look wounded, slowed down, or even bleeding in the least, in fact, still looks just as strong and full-speed as in the beginning before the military came in and shot at it?

I just think that if it were REAL, if there really was a 350 ft. tall monster like that, that it would be serious wounded after 20 minutes of constant machines guns, tank rounds, missles, and even those bombs from that Stealth fighter in the movie when they dropped those bombs on him, or even killed for good after another power hits from rockets and tank shells.

Do you agree? How do you think it'd go realistically?

  1. yeah,that movie sucked.

  2. That movie SUCKED the GREEN WEINEE. Quite possibly THEE WORST "Monster Movie" I have EVERRRRR seen. They refused to show good close up pictures of the monster itself......They probably only show less than 30 seconds of the monster during the entire movie.

Worse yet...they left open the possibility of a second movie.

  3. It all depends, if you shoot a rifle at an M1A1 Abrams tank nothing will happen except for a ping and you bullet falling flat.  The monster in Cloverfield could have had a tough skin giving it an "armor" however there were times the monster was hurt.

Remember the part were the B-2 bombers comes in and does a bombing run.  When the bombs hit the monster, you hear it drop in pain, however there really is never a close up to show you any injuries that it may have taken.

  4. Ok... now let's pretend that that Monster had 14 inch  thick Clam shell skin...

and that it's chemical make-up made it impervious to sharp or hot...and that anytime an incendiary device was exploded near it little hoses came out to spray down the fire!

    what now!?
