  1. I don't understand why some Brits have to do this, I really don't.  He'll be ripped apart by the BBC.

  2. He was laughing and making fun at the Jamaican athlete while waving the baton after winning.  Even the commentators said something about his bad sportsmanship.

  3. i heard he was waving the baton in the jamaican guys face.

  4. This has been blown way out of proportion. He was winning the race comfortably so he starting waving the baton because he was so happy, it wasn't in any ones face and it is at all no different to Usain bolt slapping his chest before he won the 100m sprint, he did that because he was happy he was winning the race so convincingly.

  5. No, I didn't.

  6. I didn't see this as taunting, as the commentators did.  The media

is looking for controversy, and if they don't have it, they continually

    try to make their own.

What I saw was a Britain excited that his team won their heat,

and while looking over at his teammates showed expressions of:

"Hey, we did it, we're pretty good, we belong, don't forget about

    us Brits".

Nothing wrong with showing a bit of emotion to cap off a winning effort.
