  1. You're a little dramatic.. and it's always nice to be moved by platitudes (and he struck many chords with me, too).. but he said NOTHING about what he'd actually DO about high-gas prices, about anything of a post 9/11 reality (national security is the issue with the other side, you know, meaning the GOP)... and of course, he said something about cutting taxes, 2x for emphasis -- but, he's never done that in his career, and to my knowledge hasn't moved for that in the Senate even with Nancy Pelosi leading the pack (they never do). I liked the speech, but that's all it was -- with the backdrop of a Super Bowl and Rock Concert of course.

The BIGGEST "misdirection" if you will, was with the preamble video for him -- which NEVER mentioned that he grew up in Hawaii (raised by grandparents because his mom ran away with a Asian muslim guy to Thailand) and it made it seem he's from Kansas and Chicago (mid-country) when he was raised elsewhere -- far away.  But, how could he NOT mention his stepfather? he only met his bio-dad for one MONTH in his life, and his stepfather MARRIED his mother for a long while. I don't like dancing around YOUR own biography, sorry -- and I'm not as caught up with all that, as a result (if a candidate is going to use it).

  2. Agree it was a great speech but Casapulla2001's comments were interesting.  I'm still yet to be convinced by Obama.

  3. THE ONLY THING YOU SHOULD BE AMAZED ABOUT ------IS HOW MUCH LYING " B.S. "HE PUT OUT IN A SHORT TIME AND DID IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE

  4. He gave a brilliant speech and the whole night was electric.  All of the people there were excited and knew that history was being made.  I am so glad I was able to see it all unfold.  What a night.  Fantastic.

  5. yeah i saw it, i hope he is a good leader for us.

  6. Yes Obama will be the next president. Why? well you just saw why...

And did you happen to see McCain's ad that ran on Fox News afterwards? He congratulated Obama on a job well done...White flag here McCain comes.....

  7. I agree, he was inspiring. I liked how he clearly expressed  his opinion about the Bush administration. He didn't really say much about how he was planning to address most of the issues he mentioned, but then again, he could not possibly give all the details about everything in one speech.

Another point I agree with you is that some people are unable (or/and unwilling) to understand that we all have the right to our own opinions, which means there is no need to be disrespectful just because we don't agree with another person's opinion.

For example, just because I don't agree with Organick's answer, it doesn't give me the right to insult him (nor I have the desire).

  8. true

  9. It is very inspiring! I agree with you 100%..I think it's great how this very day in 1963 M.L.K gave the 'I Have A Dream' speech and today Obama gave the democratic acceptance speech. This really a day to remember. We are getting to experience history and we will be able to tell our grandchildren about this.
