Once again, I was amazed to hear mention of Scranton from Obama. I'm beginning to believe that the only reason he picked Biden as his running mate was the fact that Biden happened to be born there many, many, many years ago. Do we know where all the other candidates were born and does it really matter? I'm glad that Biden quickly added Wilmington in his response. He knows that most people around Scranton besides politicians, never even knew he was born there or cared.

Obama must still have welts from the spanking that Hillary gave him in Pennsylvania, but he is delusional if he thinks that Scranton was solely responsible for her 18 million votes.

  1. No.

  2. Scranton is where "The Office" takes place.

Maybe they want a guest spot.

  3. Nitpicking, aren't you?

  4. Yes, I watched it.

Did anyone else catch it when Obama said "man" a few times?

Obama: "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, man?"...when asked about not being a bowler.

Obama: 'Whoodja hear that from, man?"...when asked about not being a beer drinker.

Just proves when he's not in front of a teleprompter, his true speaking "eloquence" is exposed...what a joke.

And this is the person Dems want "reprazentuhn'" them to the world?

  5. Rush limbough helped hillary a lot.You never lose love for the city or town you were born in, so yes it does matter.

  6. She beat him by 10 points in Ohio too, and i thought the interview

    was on 60 minutes.

  7. Scranton is a working class blue collar town. Obama is stressing Biden's common man roots. Though Obama is currently up 5 points in Pennsylvania so I don't know how concerned he is....

It's really no different than McCain stressing his "hockey mom" candidate. Trying to connect with mothers across the country.

    Identity politics.They all do it.

  8. LOL this question is comedy at its best.  So Biden quickly added Wilmington to his response huh?  Six minutes later in a 14 minute interview is quickly?  Nice.  As far as the 18 million votes go, last time I checked Obama beat Clinton.  Does this not mean he had over 18 million votes?  If you are going to try to slam Obama try harder.  Taking comments out of context about one city or one state is not only ineffective, but it's just ignorant.

  9. I agree

  10. its just too bad that Biden championed a bill making it harder for working class blue collar folks to file bankruptcy, which would just so happen to help the companies his son lobbies for....Biden is NOT a CHANGE pick, just more of the SAME pick.

  11. Barack Obama has many supporters all over Pennsylvania, and is gaining more every day. It's funny. People say he has no support among white working class voters, but the week of the primaries last spring, four neighbors from this county stopped by with Obama info and expressing their support. They were all ordinary white middle class voters.I was already palnning to vote for him, but it was great to see the support. Obama/Biden for Pennsylvania 08
