I live in Clairemont and didnt even hear anything about that, but i dont believe in UFOS!

no i live in the santee area near west hills high school but didnt see it even though i heard about it on the news.

I did not see the lights but I did see the new reports. Most people believe that these were sky lanterns, also called flying lanterns. In some cultures it is tradition to release these for special occasions, for instance New Years.

Flying lanterns are often reported as UFOs because of their unusual appearance in the sky. The candles flicker, the winds at different altitudes cause them to change direction "making turns impossible for aircraft", and multiple lanterns can be tied together to form shapes. Even if not tied together tend to keep together and "follow" each other just like when a group of balloons are released during the day.

UFO sightings has been reported all over the world not only in San Diego, but in other places,UFO was invented by Hitlers scientists and developed more in America and Russia
