I didn't see any picture, just some Arabic writing which I can't read.

Sometimes peace demonstrators are arrested in the US too, if they break the law in their protesting.  Protesting is not illegal, but some commit actions that are illegal in order to show the depth of their commitment or to gain more attention to their cause.
