  1. No, I think he was seriously joking around.

  2. I always thought the Joker was a good FOIL for Batman, but hardly a philosopher.  Where Batman is disciplined, methodical, and cold bloodedly efficient, the Joker is, well, literally a card carrying psychopath.  What makes the Joker dangerous, is that he is as chaotic, as Batman is methodical, that he is as cruel, as Batman has a sense of honor, and so on.  In the Batman fiction, Joker is easily the most dangerous of all the criminals.

  3. yes he is. he even says so in the movie. an existance with rules is no existance at all. i think joker does indeed deserve the title of the greatest villian of all time ( which he one). Heath ledger does an awsome job btw. easily the best joker to date!

  4. Before I answer, I want to say that if you haven't seen the movie, you cannot comment! Please do not post unless you've seen the movie!

    Now, having seen the movie...

Philosophy, like science, is a process of observation and experimentation.  If the experiments contradict a theory (or part of a theory), then the theory must be adjusted. The Joker was unwilling to do so, thereby creating a gap between his beliefs and reality. In addition, the Joker was insane. Insanity by definition prohibits correct perception of reality. As philosophy attempts to define reality (and morality), the Joker could not possibly have been a good philosopher.

  5. Definitly

His only ambition is to watch the world burn, a murderer with zero empathy. He refuses to be catagorised or understood which is why he always changes the story of his past.

hes fearless, (scarecrows fear gas or joker venom dont affect him,) because he has become immune via purposeful substance abuse.

    pure enthropy in human form.

  6. yeah he was amazingg.

actually he kind of reminded me of Charles Manson..

i guess it just depends what people think.

    i personally looved him.

nobody could have played him like Heath Ledger.

    sooo sad he died.

but my favorite quote from him was

--"I use a knife because guns are too quick. Otherwise, you can't savor all the emotions. You know who people are in their last moments.

Because people reveal their true colors moments before they die, so i guess, i knew your friends better than you ever did"

    ha random.

    :]

  7. Jack Nicholson was better.

    Sorry, but he was.

  8. Yeah, the Joker is probably the greatest villain of all time.

Heath Ledgers Joker blew Jack's away.

  9. Yeah!  I loved the scene in the hospital room when he was talking Two Face into not killing him, he made perfect sense

  10. I'm in the same boat as Dave, but if the previews are any indication, it seems as if he is a complete nihilist as well as anarchist.

  11. Yeah i haven't watch the movie either

But he is look like maniac more than a philosopher

  12. Don't know because I haven't seen the movie yet but have a feeling he is.

  13. are not all philosophers a bit ........strange?
